You step inside the Broken Sword Inn one late evening to rest from the rain and on your way to the stairs you see an odd figure sitting next to the fireplace. He appears to be engaged in a heated debate with a sailor.
Ha! Yes! At the recruit station they say they need me. That my death "will please the gods", the warmongering priests say. Titles they have given me, titles!
Can you believe that i´m a duke? The pirate that became a duke *laughs hysterically and his followers cheers*
*Snorts* I�ll pay my taxes to the kingdom but i�ll never give my life to those warmongering worshippers. I wish only to roam the sea, to live forever, and yes you may join me young sailor! Lets sing together!
The men that surrounds the Pirate Duke stand up, most look worn by years of sea and they burst out in the most peculiar song, with tales of old. You listen as their voices grow loud and it appears that you are not the only one,
the whole Inn seems to be struck quiet by their song. The firewood crackles in the fireplace and the rain smatter on the window accompany.
"I made a rope out of the Midgard Snake
A fur of the Fenris wolf
A rudder from the ancient dragons teeth.
Let me sail away, far away.
Into the sunset sea
where no gods command over me."
The thunder roars the sky and the men stop singing and raise their cups for a drink. As you try to look closer on the hooded so called Pirate Duke you can make out an grin on his face, or was it a smile.
You wander up the stairs and lay yourself to rest.

Now I have 6 captains and 2 expert finders. And still it seems very difficult to find...
Where is that @#$%^&* marine-school, where they�ve got their education :-)

After long adventures, each much the same as the next, he had succeeded in aqquiring 5 more of the Kings Keys...
(10�000+ turns of nothing, and now I�m finding keys again) :D

[i]After a long and arduous battle against this demon-child Hel, she finally lay slain before him on the ground. The young Duke Dastan had made it, accompanied by his band of mercenaries. Though somewhat inexperienced, they had managed to hold their own.
The still beating heart of his quarry lay on the ground next to her, it seemed to radiate purest evil and malice..

After wandering around in this world for a long time, I do not bother too much with all these men, women, girls other creatures asking me to go on a quest for them. I only pick it up when I feel like it.
There is one guy however, that I can�t refuse to help. Every time he is lost, I keep on bringing Barney back to his beloved alley again... and again... and again...

I was looking back at what I�ve accomplished so far in my life, and I don�t think I ever felt this good before.
The village of Gorgon praised me as I headed towards the Gorgon hills, and I must say I enjoy the praises.
But then again, I don�t think I ever killed this many foes before, especially orcs and undeads.
My queries wander towards what might be lying ahead of me still, which places will I get to see?
So many thoughts, too little time to ponder. Too many undeads around here, I must be off.
FOR GLORY, AND VALHALLA!

Finally, they lie scattered around me. All the heads, all the heads...
Years I�ve been working and searching for this final beast in the secret mountains. Finally I managed to gather a group of fine lads and ladies. Palladins for sure, but also a general, a cook, a brewer and a dokter. I had to double each treasure I found in order to pay them. But it was worth it, as they stood beside me in this final battle. Not all of them survived, but I pay my deepest respect to them. Thank you.
(I don�t know if I reveil game secrets above. If so, please modify).
I am very happy now, and can retire to some island, far far away. (Where new adventures await me, I am sure)...

I reached a game-goal myself few minutes ago. On to new adventures, yours will be one of my next :-).
