Small quest error (Posted by: [#207597] Grand Duke Joberta Rodan Telamon the Titan [DTEK] (Tyler Clemons), dat: 2012-12-16 04:01:00)

It appears that the new Quest Item from the Library has overwritten the "Book of the beginning" ;)

You find it at Tornholm Island, given that you have the quest about the book of the beginning. I have experienced that bug as well.

Reduce the waiting time (Posted by: [#61699] Baron GalDoR the Human (Oli Danielsson), dat: 2012-11-30 13:10:00)
|
A) Reduce the waiting time to bring all my turns to the next life. 10 days is too long imo.
B)If you disagree with A, then reduce the minimum amount of tokens needed to become a premium member. If I have to wait 10 days each lap and only play 1-3 of those days I dont want to have to pay 30 tokens every time. 1 token for 1 day or 5 tokens for 5 days would be nice.

Literally just rerolled, lets see how long it takes for me to reach my goal before I once again have to just sit and wait until I can bring my turns to the next round.

..aaaaand done!
-reached required level -reached required title (duke) -reached required profession in kings army -reached required PP points to bring to next life
and now all I can do is wait for (All your turns, Premium only)(10 days left)

well, the game is intended to work this way, I understand your frustration (And I know the feeling myself too) but I doubt this is ever going to change.
Fast lapping is a way of playing, but it has some downsides (you loose pps and/or turns)

I understand that but it hasnt always been this way, and I also know W2 is losing more and more paying members and one way to stop that could be to not forcing us to pay for much more than we need / use

Yeah the 10 day wait is definitely an improvement over a month. All of the reborn system is much neater now.
I know the feeling of annoyance when waiting to bring your turns to your next turn as I am doing alot of fastlaping atm too. Worst thing for me is that if I have to just wait ten days I often forget the game for a month or so...
I think its a valid requirement to wait ten days though. You shouldnt be able to lap instantly because then the achievement of it is gone. So there has to be some drawbacks of laping quickly. Especiellay considering theres also rewards that comes from laping.

Well I think you misunderstood my original post. The 10 days of waiting isnt my main problem, the problem is we have to pay for minimum 30 days to be premium members. Thats 27 paid days wasted on nothing but waiting.

groupies (Posted by: [#133571] Duke Binosj and her pet Poro the Elf (Bruno Emans), dat: 2012-11-25 12:55:00)

Wouldnt it be fun that some companions are so devoted to you that they want to pay you to go on adventure with them (in stead of paying them...). Like fans or groupies?
This of course depending on your skills. Only with a high charisma you would be able to find these companions. And they want to pay you based on your skills char, strength, dex and int.
(It will only gain you 1 or 2% extra, just like some gears do. But the idea is funny.)

Banking (Posted by: [#6975] Duke Trallo the Titan (Daniel Bond), dat: 2012-09-12 13:07:00)
|
This suggestion originates from me juggling my backpack space in frustration for so long. I have several items I don´t wish to get rid of and now I dont have any spare room anymore.
I would love a place (bank) in the cities that would store your items untill you need them for a fee.
To avoid people storing items there indefinetly and taking up server capacity you could have a system that puts the overflow of items on the Auction house if the fee isnt paid.

A bank/storage function of perhaps 5 to 10 items I could agree on being useful. Maybe limit it to gear only, no quest items.
But I like this idea. And before anyone asks, this must not carry over to the next character! Even though it would be fun to give your sons/daughters some heirloom, it would make it too easy...

Then better make it really expensive to store items, otherwise it is just an expansion of your backpack; and I dont see the use of that.
(when we have 5 slots extra in a bank, Im pretty sure I want 5 extra soon after...)

Re:Re:Re:Banking (Posted by: [#6975] Duke Trallo the Titan (Daniel Bond), dat: 2012-09-23 17:15:00)

Considering that the 5 slot inventory has been with us for quite some time and along that road there have been several items added that you might want to hold on to.
Maybe its due time to have a look at manageable inventory space.

command potions (Posted by: [#219326] Prince Wolsje the Titan [MOC] (morris wols), dat: 2012-05-31 14:51:00)

Are more or less useless nowadays, they only boost loyalty. Isnt it an idea to give some of it powers back? i.e. make them heal followers, or give them extra life or A/D bonus?
|
|
Re:command potions (Posted by: [#8] Egil the Human (Zakarias Persson), dat: 2012-08-02 11:37:00)

But then they have to be named something else also, healing for followers is not command. maybe they could "lock" loyalty for a wile too. would be great for fighting dragons for an example..

You are right about that. I just wanted to point out that the command potions is quite crappy nowadays and propably should get some kind of make-over.

Monster rarity. (Posted by: [#220937] Sir Dastan the Titan [MOC] (Friedrich Crinson), dat: 2012-05-22 09:50:00)

Ive noticed a recurring pattern in the games quest mechanics: youre given a quest to kill X amount of monsters. All of a sudden, those monsters that were easy/not too difficult to find become ultra rare.
Why is that? Its highly annoying to say the least.

Its a freak of nature if so.. as there are no connection between rarity and monsters that naturally appear on adventures. Have you actually made some calculation of this, i would love to see them if so. My guess is that its because when you are looking for something, you notice how rare it really is

Healing (Posted by: [#144458] Hero BlazinJsin the Dwarf (Jason Dwyer), dat: 2012-04-25 07:09:00)

I think when your companion casts a healing spell, it should heal you too. not just your other companions. I also think that when you visit that certain world part that heals you, it should heal your companions too. Any thoughts?

Re:Healing (Posted by: [#209006] Duke Maximus the Titan [FOoD] (Kyle Smith), dat: 2012-04-26 22:52:00)

Healers can and do already heal you. Sometimes they heal just you and sometimes they use group healing that hits you as well as all of your companions.
Healing companions at locations is a question of balance - it would really make it too easy to keep your entire party in good shape. You would completely lose attrition outside of dungeons.

Dying in dungeons (Posted by: [#144458] Lord BlazinJsin the Dwarf (Jason Dwyer), dat: 2012-04-23 11:10:00)
|
This is an issue i havent liked for years. Just spent 30 min wondering around a dungeon, kept healing when i got low, and stopped paying attention for 4 moves. Just long enough to get in 4 fights and die. As soon as you die it kicks you out of the dungeon. I would love to spend the 35 points to resurrect where i left off in the dungeon if it hadnt kicked me out automatically.

On the other hand: That would make it possible, in theory, to finish a difficult dungeon without surviving a single enemy or trap.

I have to agree with Andreas here - there a couple dungeons in particular where it would be very unbalanced if people could do this. Even worse the dungeons where it matters the most you could well be going in with thousands of PP lying around.
It is a royal pain, but extra caution is just part of how you have to tackle dungeons...

Sure, as long as you have thousands of points laying around. Ever think, "ill heal after the next fight," then take lethal damage? Did you wish you didnt waste the last 400 turns when you resurrected and had to do it all over?
