It was a good day until.. And a warning to others. (Posted by: [#172249] Lord Chase the Dwarf [DTEK] (Mads Hansen), dat: 2007-08-15 23:42:00)

Im a virgin in this world, barely out of Gorgon Village. Yet Im a bold adventurer. My ancenstry is quite long and I feel the past wisdom in my veins, but what happened I was not prepared for.
I was in the forest peting the cute bunnies while helping peasants with their daily doings. I somehow feelt watched, but Ive always been vary of the woods so I dident read anything into it. After having helped a nice chap diging his shithole I decided to go into the planes. What a lonely place. I made camp after having fought some evil knights and a lone adventurer walked by. He was ugly as a Hydra, yet I let him share my bonfire. His name was "Evil twin" and he had a farfetched aura about him.
I fell asleep, but suddenly I woke up as I were being touched in a very unapropriate place. I tried to fight him off, but he said that he was a doctor. Eventually I managed to run into a dark wood, but I could hear him cackle maniacly in the back.
I tried to wash the feeling off me, but damnit they dont make water hot enough!
Eventually I found the capitol and an inn where I sat in a corner crying while I drank until I was knocked out.
I feel so used..

And another victim has been shed by the evil-doers of Sworn... Will they ever stop haunting this already oh-so-evil world? I dont know, but I shall never give up hope. At least I know I can hide in the Ancient Castle, right over there on the plains. Its safe there.
I hope you will recover from this, and dont become traumatized. Theres already too many who has been unable to recover after having met *them*.

Aye! The warriors who were violated the worst are know the dark and twisted warriors of FOG! The Sodomizers known as Sworn have to be stopped! I once saw one of them in the secret mountains, near their base Valtalm, and he was wearing a dress (although I have to admit that his purse and heels matched terrifically!) and dancing with the corpse of a hydra. It was a very frightening experience!

Oh, that takes me back. Too a time long gone. A time when the fallen order was still sacred, although the fall had undoubtably begun for Grimlock was there. Then mostly known as the FWP chef who got promoted too ranger. The time before I joined Deflagratio, in fact, I think even before Anomander Rake found the caves.
The time when everybody hated LoW. Everybody except me, of course, I was never anyone´s true enemy. The letters stood for Lords of Warriors, but I think most people choose too see it more as the word the three letter form alone. There were rumours of their leader behaving much like the Sworn member you describe there. In fact, I even spotted him with my crystal ball wearing womens clothing and shouting something about love outside the walls of the Sacred Order of Galgar. His name started on E, but I can´t quite recall it. Hrimmie, you must have access too the old Herot library, right? Given your ancenstry and all. What was his name?

It has been ages since anyone has talked about the order and its sacred origins. Ive decided to pry open the library and dust off the books. In my searches Ive found details of our first recored battle with The Lords of Warriors:
Battlelog SOG VS LoW Dominant clan:Equal (Date:2003-07-02)
SOG Survivors: [#53906] Duke Divino the Titan [SOG] (Christian Sellergren)(840 Life left) [#1687] Duke Glurmo the Dwarf [SOG] (Kristoffer Kamberg)(989 Life left)
Heres some guy from LOW:

That´s the one! Thank you. He was fun, too bad I never got too know him. Realised that it wasn´t even me looking at him through that crystal ball. If it had been, I might have sought him out *dreamyeyes*. No, it was a memory from one of the lives that came before me, a human life. Curius, must be where my knack for crystal balls comes from. So the time I talked about was before even I was born. The first time, then.

A Bad Day... (Posted by: [#170225] Grand Duchess Kiara the Titan [DTEK] (Niklas Widmark), dat: 2007-07-19 13:34:00)
|
Kiara was in a particularly foul mood today. She’d been followed by an undead beast all week, and was now fed up with having to kill it every step on the way. That it was ugly and smelled like something Eric and Asulf might have unearthed didn’t lift her spirits either. She wanted a drink, and perhaps a good barfight. She felt like hitting someone. Hard. Preferably one of those sissies from TFD or Sworn…
Somewhat brightened up by the prospect of smashing some noses and slapping a few ears, she went out to search the different bars around the world of Walmork. She at once discarded the Broken Sword and Adventurers inn’s as she felt it below her to wreak havoc in such places. Even though she wanted a fight, her honour prevented her from attacking those of lower level than her. Besides, it wouldn’t be much fun anyway she concluded. No, she wanted a real fight.
After briefly checking the Warriors Guild she realised there was no one above level 50 in there, and so she set course to the northeast instead. She passed right over the Dark Forest, not bothering to stop at the sneaky elves, and after a while she landed in the capital. With determined steps she entered the Kings Halls inn, but as she looked around she saw not a single TFD or Sworn.
Cursing to whatever god who might listen, she surveyed the area. There were only four warriors above level 80, and one of those was from here own clan! She nodded briefly to Morke where he sat behind the bar, but he didn’t appear to notice as he was too concentrated on flirting with one of the barmaids. Another of the warriors was currently not in any clan, so she discarded him too. He might be a potential ally later on. The third was a member of FoDm, and since she remembered being offered to join FoDm in the past, she felt obliged to be nice back. This left only one warrior, who was standing at the corner of the bar, oblivious of the danger. He was from some to Kiara unknown clan, WoDK, but that didn’t matter. He was going down, and that fast!
Barbrawl... You aim a stright punch at ThunderArse.... *KAPAOW* You floor your enemy! You have gained 36 xp during this brawl!
Somewhat unsatisfied by the easy picking, she heaved him up and hit him again, just for good measure.
Barbrawl... You aim a right hook at ThunderArse.... *VRONK* That man is disabled for a while now. You have gained 236 xp during this brawl!
Feeling slightly better, she was just about to order a drink to celebrate when she felt a sharp tug in the collar of her jacket. One of the guards was apparently not of the opinion that hitting unconscious men was a good thing to do, and so without pardon Kiara was thrown out of the Kings Halls. Sitting in the dust and rubbing her bottom, she once again felt the urge to hit someone. This was not fair! Angrily she got to her feet and made an obscene gesture at the guard, but he only laughed at her which made her seethe with rage. Fuming she stomped away, swearing and cursing. Climbing up her dragon once more she took off to the northwest, to the wilder and hopefully less guard-inhabited areas of Walmork.
Slowly the landscape grew harsher and more uninhabited. Sharp rocks protruded from the ground, and the hills became steeper and steeper, until she actually had to fly between them rather than above them. The mountain faces loomed ominously all around her, and the wind grew colder by the minute. She was tempted to attack some of the dragons and monsters she passed, but she knew all to well that the beast would be there, haunting her. It was not that she as afraid of it, or even had trouble killing it. She’d met a lot more dangerous enemies before, but they at least had the good manners to stay dead when killed. This one didn’t, and it annoyed her.
She was jolted back from her dark brooding when she felt her dragon start to decline towards the hill where the Dragonslayers Inn was located. Soon enough she was knocking on the door, and as she was a known guest there she was immediately let in. At once she started to search for possible opponents, and there, finally! Three little girls from TFD… She smiled, this would be fun.
Barbrawl... You lunges an attack at Kril.... *BLOFF* That man is disabled for a while now. You have gained 65 xp during this brawl!
Shaking her head in disgust, she stepped over the unconscious man. To go down that easily, at level 99… Fixing her gaze on the next victim she advanced with a mad gleam in her eyes.
Barbrawl... You aim a stright punch at Zartok.... *SLOSH* That man is disabled for a while now. You have gained 234 xp during this brawl!
Without pause she continued to the last one standing, who by now looked a little worried. And by all right!
Barbrawl... You aim a right hook at Lorvski.... *VRONK* You floor your enemy! You have gained 94 xp during this brawl!
Standing over Lorvskis still body, she looked up and faced the rest of the customers, ready for battle, but they just nodded in approval and some even applauded her handiwork. Starting to feel a lot better than she had done for a long time, Kiara made a slight bow and went over to the bar. The fighting was over, and now was the time to get something to drink! Ordering a cup of dragons blood she sat down beside a fellow clan member to discuss how badly those TFD on the floor smelled, and just exactly what their mothers must have looked like.
Smiling happily, Kiara concluded that all in all, this had been a Good day. Too bad none of those wussy Sworn-guys had dared sleep outside their clan shelter, but this would have to. For now at least…

When Evil Twin walked the dragon slayers Inn in search for Kiara, she saw the silly amazon hiding behind a huge pillar. When Evil Twin was ready to charge the DTEK-slave, she stood up with fear in her eyes and did some very swift (and very girlish) Karate-like moves. But Evil Twin smelled something else. Something bad. Something that made every alarmbell ring inside of her head. She smelled Eazy. The ugly cockroach that once called herself leader of TFD, The Filthy Dumbskates, was inside of the room.
Evil Twin widened his view and from the corner of his eye he saw Kiara run away, wiggling her humongous behind in a very lesbian manner. Eazy was nowhere to be seen. A small stenchy dragon drew Evil Twins attention. When he approached the foul beast the stench that was oh so familiar to Evil Twin got stronger. It was Eazy standing behind the stenchy dragon who was cleaning its bullocks with a sponch! Evil Twin jumped forward and:
"Barbrawl... You aim a left hook at Eazy.... *SMOCK* You thouhgt that you could floor this lady, but instead she fights like a lion... This Amazon has been in brawls before! She gives you a stright punch in the face, delivering 646 points of damage. You have gained 329 xp during this brawl!"
HOW UNEXPECTED! AND AGAIN EVIL TWIN CHARGED:
Barbrawl... You sneak up behind Eazy and attack.. *SLAP* Could it have been any easier to punch out a girl? You have gained 241 xp during this brawl!
As Evil Twin walked away triumphantly, he smelled hot breath in his neck. As he turned, the stenchy little dragon gawked at Evil Twin with a furious look in his eyes. "Who will clean my bullocks now, huh?" screeched the dragon and threatened to hit Evil Twin with his right paw. Evil Twin couldnt handle the carnage any longer and decided to make a run for it. Just as he was about to leave the dragon slayers inn, he bumped right into the huuuge behind of Kiara, who was trying to run away as fast as she could but even a tiny rockcrawler runs faster than she does, by accident:
"Barbrawl... You lunges an attack at Kiara.... *KASMACK* That girl realy fights like a girl! She fell asleep after the first hit! You have gained 254 xp during this brawl!"

Re:Re:Re:Re:Re:A Bad Day... (Posted by: [#17332] Prince Hrímþursar the Titan [DTEK] (Tee Jay Green), dat: 2007-07-20 10:48:00)

Hrímþursar entered this world for one simple purpose, to slay an army of frost giants. From his youngest days in the village he was never interested in dragons, hydras and Lokes children like the rest of the young titans. He only thought of battles in the sky.
As he made his way through the land slaying monsters with ease and constantly finding better gear he never forgot about those giants. He spent countless days searching the same marble stairs for dragon corpses and he always dreamed of fighting that army in the sky.
The day had finally come. Hrímþursar had finally mastered all that was needed to be deemed worthy by the thunder god. To get ready for the fight he even crafted all *Unique* Trogolyte gear and even managed to have the mysterious mage make some Legendary! Now he entered the city in the clouds to search for the infamous army!
Weeks had passed and there was no sign from the thunder god. Hrímþursar decided to send word to the King himself about this terrible calamity! In his infinite wisdom the King declared that an ancestor of Hrímþursar had already slain the army and Thor would not let Hrímþursar have the chance! Hrímþursar was crushed.
Hrímþursar knew that if he had slain even a single Hydra the people of Walmork would remember him for that and not the frost giants, so he always ran when a Hydra reared its head! Well now the Kings word had changed all that!
Hrímþursar tossed aside his 10 million gold and had a different mage teleport him to the secret mountains. He needed to blood his sword. He raced through the treacherous mountains in the northwest, slaying all in his way.
He tracked hydras for days and slew them all. One head, two heads, five heads, ten heads, fourteen heads, they were all severed heads when he was done with them. All the while Hrímþursar had been recruiting the bravest hydra food.... er followers to help him! He always did so in the Dragon Slayers INN. It was close and Hrímþursar couldnt be bothered to fly to the other side of the land just to get stronger food for the Hydras from his own clans castle.
Well on this day Hrímþursar was entering the Inn just in time to see Evil Twin take a cheap shot his clan mate Kiara. He would be damned if he wasnt looking for something stronger then a fourteen headed hydra to sink his blade in to!
With his helmet in his left hand Hrímþursar was forced to swing with his right at Evil Twin:
Barbrawl... You aim a right hook at Evil Twin.... *BIFF* But what? he did not go down?, Ohh ohh! here he comes.. He loads a left hook at your nose, it gives you 629 points of damage You have gained 768 xp during this brawl!
As usual Evil Twin goes for the cheap shot and hits Hrímþursar on the only spot his armor doesnt cover, right on his nose. Finally feeling some pain Hrímþursar gets excited and he lunges at Evil Twin!
Barbrawl... You lunges an attack at Evil Twin.... But your enemy makes a swift move to the side, making you hit [#114968] Duke Enel the Titan [RB] (Hampus Rosenlöf) instead! *SLAP* She goes to the floor with a loud bang. You have gained 1470 xp during this brawl!
Ha! Evil Twin has made HER (Hahahaha! "[04:38:47] FarFetched: I referred to ET as "she" since I was dog tired" Now ET shall always be a HER!) first mistake! Now Hrímþursar is to the side and slightly behind the un-bathed warrior!
Barbrawl... You sneak up behind Evil Twin and attack.. *SMACK* He goes down like an old fur. You have gained 42 xp during this brawl!
Satisfied with this bit of action Hrímþursar decides to stop and drink some before he buys more food for the hydras. After a few dragonbloods he thinks: "Who is the king now?.. Yes.. its me.. its what it feels like anyway.." and decides to take a little trip. After all the King can do what he wants!
With great speed Hrímþursar races south. Hes off to a spot where no one will bother him. He knows of a nice little island cottage run by a boy who is wise beyond his age. He arrives and settles in with some nice mead and starts to tell the boy some of his favorite adventure stories.

Forest Fire (Posted by: [#17332] Sir One who betrayed the Elf [DTEK] (Tee Jay Green), dat: 2007-05-09 20:44:00)

Sometimes it is easiest to understand politics by examining a parallel scenario in nature.
For example, forest fires. Fires are part of the natural life cycle of a forest. They are needed to clear leaves, brush, and fallen timber. They are needed to redistribute the minerals evenly and to spread the seeds of a younger generation.
After the fires extinguish, ancient trees no longer block the sun from the earth. New plants, and the animals that accompany them, start to flourish.
Now life is renewed and reinvigorated in the forests.

Arrival at the gates (Posted by: [#170225] Duchess Kiara the Titan [DTEK] (Niklas Widmark), dat: 2007-04-06 20:13:00)

With a great whoosh of air the ancient dragon landed in front of the bridge to the castle. The guards eyed him warily but the beast only bent down and snatched up a mouthful of long grass, which it started to chew with great enthusiasm, burning straws falling from its huge maw. From its back a young titan dismounted and approached the guards. She put her hands up in a gesture of friendship. “I mean no harm to you or your kin. I and Scrappy over there”, she indicated the grazing dragon, “have answered the call of mighty Tyrson, and we have come to aid you in your battle for glory.” She made a peculiar sign with her hand and spoke a single word. Upon hearing the secret word of passage the guards lowered their weapons, but still kept a suspicious eye on the dragon. “Why is the dragon eating grass?” one of them asked tentatively. The titan followed his gaze and gave a sigh. “Well, to make a long story short, Scrappy is a very old dragon and his mind is not what it once was. Due to age and too much time spent sleeping in a cave with too little oxygen, he sometimes gets confused about what kind of species he is. Lately he has been convinced he is a horse, hence the grazing.” She eyed the dragon affectionately. “He is kind of like a senile old man, trying for my patience some times, but mostly completely harmless.” The guards seemed to doubt her claim about the dragon being harmless, but didn’t comment it. One of the younger guards stepped forward though, apparently intrigued by the unusual dragon. “If he thinks he is a horse, how does he explain the flying?” he asked. “Why, he is a Pegasus of course” the titan answered, as if it was the most natural thing. The man was just about to ask another question when a low rumbling sound could be heard and the beast gave a great belch as a small stream of white hot fire burst forth from its mouth, causing the guards to scramble for cover. The dragon gave a hiccup and, looking terribly embarrassed, made an unsuccessful attempt to hide behind its master. “Scrappy, stop it! You’ll burn my pants.” Turning to the terrified guards, she put her arms out wide in an apologetic gesture. “Well, what can I say? His stomach is not made for grass. It gives him gases.” She shrugged. “Nothing to worry about though, he almost never cause any real harm.” “Except, of course, there have been a few occasion when he has started some small fires in Gorgon Forest while trying to eat the berries that grow there” she added, almost as an afterthought. Seeing the apparent unease on the guards faces, she realized it might be a good idea to continue; else they might change their mind and not let her in. Bidding them a good day she seized the huge dragon by a horn and led him through the gates in search of a stable where he might be comfortable.
To be continued...

The terror of the depths (Posted by: [#170225] Duchess Kiara the Titan [DTEK] (Niklas Widmark), dat: 2007-04-09 01:11:00)
|
|
Well inside the gates, Kiara surveyed the outer courtyard she had entered. The place was huge. The big stone paved square was surrounded with buildings. On here right hand side a long low stable was located. It stretched along one full side of the plaza, ending close to the wall which surrounded the inner courtyard. To her left a blacksmith was standing in his forge, busy repairing a heavily damaged helmet. It was almost split in two, and Kiara wondered who could have taken such a blow and still live to find the need of a blacksmith. Then she noticed the stout dwarf standing to the side, keeping watch on the progress. A big bandage covered his head, but otherwise he seemed fine. Kiara almost felt sorry for the poor bastard who had been stupid enough to hit a dwarf on the head. It was one of the basic rules you got to learn as a fighter. Never ever hit a dwarf on the head. That lesson came right after they told you which point of a sword were the dangerous one. She had once seen a cyclop break its club in two on the head of a dwarf, only to get its feet chopped off a second later.
She smiled at the memory and moved on, Scrappy in tow. The huge dragon seemed to draw a lot of attention she noticed. People were dropping what they were currently working on and stared in wonder at the magnificent beast, which towered above the mass. Not even the white, or in some cases, black dragons that occasionally came here were this big or this awe-inspiring. Scrappy seemed to be aware of the looks too for he raised his head high, spread out his wings a little and strutted up alongside Kiara, looking immensely pleased with himself. As they passed the door to the stable, Kiara saw a young boy hiding in the shadows, looking at Scrappy with a mix of fear and wonder. She stopped and beckoned him over, asking for the place where dragons were kept.
While his master was busy talking, Scrappy seized the opportunity to walk over to one of the water troughs positioned alongside the wall of the stable. Giving a friendly nod to the brown mare which was tethered there he was just about to bend down and have a drink when he realized that something was bothering her. She smelled strongly of fear and her body was shaking uncontrollably. Looking up in alarm Scrappy surveyed the area, searching for the source of the danger. After intently watching a stable cat which was sleeping in the sun, he determined that it was not the source of alarm and so he continued his watchful search. After checking a chicken flapping aimlessly across the yard, a pig chased by some kids and a butterfly fluttering in the breeze, he was contented there was no immediate threat. Giving the dragon equivalent of a shrug he turned back to the trough, casting a sidelong glance at the mare. “Jumpy little bugger” he thought.
Bending low he was just about to extend his tongue and lap up some water when he saw a huge beast emerging from the water. Its big glowing eyes stared into his, and a row of dagger like teeth grinned at him from the depths. With a small shriek he jumped backwards and, spinning ninety degrees to his right he dug his claws into the cracks in the stone pavement and bounded back to where his mistress stood, still talking to the stable boy who, when noticing the advancing dragon, turned and fled in panic. Skidding to a screeching halt behind Kiara’s back, Scrappy turned and peeked above her shoulder to check for possible pursuit. Seeing none he relaxed a bit.
Slowly he realized that slack jawed people were watching him from all around, some pointing, others laughing. Starting to feel rather sheepish he drew himself up, mustered what dignity he had left and started back to the trough, determined to face whatever horror lurked within its depths. He hadn’t taken more than a few steps though before he felt a tug above his ear as iron fingers gripped one of the small spikes there. “Scrappy you old fool, stay here” Kiara said. “You’ve already caused enough attention. We wouldn’t want to be thrown out when we just arrived, would we?” To soften the effect of her words, she scratched him on the soft skin under his chin and planted a kiss on the snout. “Come on, lets go and se if we can find that dragon loft, shall we?”
Side by side they took off across the courtyard, heading for the inner and nobler parts of the castle. Scrappy swished his tail in anticipation, sending people scrambling for cover.

Thank you, all three, for the kind words. Its nice to know someone like my writing. :)
It just hit me that maybe it’s not that clear where this is all taking place, since it first started as an ingame letter to Tyrson, where such explanations were unnecessary. To clarify, this is about Kiara and her unusual dragon arriving at DTEK’s castle for the first time after being accepted into the clan. So now you know ;)

ah... I feel new blood.. weak though (Posted by: [#151527] Dub Buk frå Nord the Elf [FoDm] (John Schaeffer), dat: 2007-02-25 17:15:00)

This cloudy and windy afternoon Prince Dub Buk frå Nord went to the Royal Temple and donated a little money. He asked the priest to give him a new name, temporary only. The priest was confused because it was common warriors just told everyone they had a new name and the business was done. But this time the warrior requested help from the Temples of Valhalla... why would he do that? The priest asked for this name and Dub Buk said -Novem Portis-, the Nine Gates. The priest was confused, he never heard of such a thing but he thought it was only a name for a warrior that would not concern much as it would only be temporary...
So the priest accepted the donation and gave the name to the warrior before him. As he left the Temple he was no longer Dub Buk frå Nord but now -Novem Portis-. He gathered his weapons, threw in some berries and drinks and went off into the rough sea.
He heard from many old warriors who had died fighting on the furthest islands, even some of his friends found their end on this mysterious island. Far from home and far from the gods, too far to expect their help as the people on the island say, he started walking the island. He knew he would die today and that was fine for him. Death belongs to a warriors life when he fights for the Legions of Darkness and also for those who fight for the Soldiers of Asgard.
Many times he was hit, many berries he ate to give a little healing. But nothing could prevent what he knew was coming... the strike of a sword, the arrow of a guard, the breath of a dragon... something that would put an end to his life. This was the 666th day after the first of his ancestors set foot on the ground in Gorgon Village and now he would come back as a new warrior, the warrior Dub Buk frå Nord the Elf, back with the old name.
Even death had been planned and what will happen afterwards... but first it came by a sword of a Knight. Weakened by dragons and lousy peasants his end came quicker than expected. A cry, a sword and he was gone. Many adventures were saved to give birth to the Elf and now he started adventuring, looking for new things within the Kingdom of Walmork.

DTEK`s Story (Posted by: [#17332] Princess Thokk the Titan [DTEK] (Tee Jay Green), dat: 2007-01-21 09:24:00)
|
Ive finally gotten around to changing DTEKs clan description. ________________________________________
This story starts with a young scholar priest many ages ago. This young priest was a member of [FWP]’s elite Valhallan Knights [VK]. The Valhallan Knights were an order of warrior priests. It was founded when some members of the Sacred Order of Galgar [SOG] left when it became the unholy and dark, Fallen Order of Galgar [FOG].
The young priest was reading an ancient text in the great libraries of Herot Academy [HA] when he made an important discovery. He discovered that there was a forgotten temple in Walmork. The text claims the temple was destroyed in the great battle on the ancient plains in the second age of Walmork. Such a temple could prove invaluable to anyone who finds it.
As soon as the leaders of the clans of [FWP] learned of this temple they immediately charged the Valhallan Knights with the secret task of discovering this temple’s ruins. Years became lifetimes and still they had found nothing.
At the time the clans of Walmork were numerous and immense. Then a great plague from the west came. Many clans died completely and those who survived were merely shadows of their past greatness. The clans of [FWP] could no longer support the Valhallan Knights, and the order deteriorated in to a small and secret sect of [FWP].
Many ages passed and an unrelated chain of events would lead [FWP] straight to the hidden temple. Herot Academy was completely destroyed in a battle. [FWP]s main fortress, Herot, had no room for the survivors of the clan. Enter [DTEK]. [DTEK] had one of the largest fortresses in all the land, and it was still nearly empty from the great plague. They offered shelter for the survivors from Herot Academy.
One survivor was a member of the Valhallan Knights. One day while repairing the aging fortress she made a discovery. She was cutting stone for the foundations of the fortress when she noticed an eroded rune carving. It was in the dead language of the second age. She had found the location of the ancient temple.
The leaders of [FWP] met with the leaders of [DTEK] and the clans merged.
Today [DTEK] is an order of warriors lead by a group of warrior priests. It has one purpose: to unlock the potential of every warrior of [FWP]. The priests know the essence of power accumulates from the spirits of each life a warrior has lived. True power lines in the line of people. [DTEK]s priests are masters of unleashing that limitless power.

I belive the last paragraph. Most of the earlier parts, except of course for the plague that we all experienced, were likely forged too motivate that this limitless power would end up in the hands of FWP. Clever scheme, I must say, Moonday would be impressed.
What history the people who first formed DTEK originated from I am unaware, except for the one called Xedric whom Amie knew, pherhaps some of them in fact were Valhallan Knights. But I know this. If they were, they had defected, for DTEK expressed quite a bit of hatred for the big alliances called FWP and The Flying Dutchmen back then.
Precisely what time it was I am unsure, it is hard too keep track of the lifetimes. I know them all, but the order of the events is a jumble. DTEK feels old, older than the fall of the sacred order, but that may just be because the runes are old and my mind has them mixed up. But at this time many people believed that clans existed too do battle in honour of the gods. Thus they concluded that alliances were deeply wrong, since it would make the fighting less sincere, which could have cosmic consequenses beyond our understanding. DTEK were at the very front of this movement. Their study of the runes were known only by a few, their hatred of the bigger clans were heard by all.
I find it quite unlikely that they found the clues too the runes in Herot Academys library.
Needless too say, the current development is pretty much a worst-case scenario from the ortodox DTEK point of view, Gruntic has every reason too be upset.
I see the potential for a new war here. If for not for old grudges, then for that limitless power. Heck, I might even join in!
Who would be interested in forming my army?

Too bad I was kicked as a leader, and DTEK is now a product of the huge clans, witch was the single thing the clan never was supposed to be when it was created, a sub-clan to one of the big clans.

now it is a little (just a little..) like TFD X... a big group of warriors with low-level warriors in two and strong warriors in another...
well, Gruntic.. when you are disappointed by DTEK (the new), come to us. We are free warriors fighting our way, not for FWP or TFD or so...;)

Thanks! I wanted to write a lot more, but felt it was too long already. Thats why the whole thing sounds like a summary.
Especially for the last paragraph! In an earlier draft the whole description was just about that topic. Heres what I had before I changed ideas:
Today many warriors with long lines of people walk this world and the source of their power is common knowledge. The origins of [DTEK] started lifetimes ago, before such knowledge was common place.
Try to image the time when warriors began to appear in Walmork with powers vastly superior to any other. They slew monsters of unimaginable power and slaughtered entire clans single handedly. They possessed a power like nothing the world had seen before. They became heroes, legends, Gods.
The power came from their line of ancestors. Their essence accumulated power from the spirits of each life they lived. [FWP] was among the first clans to make this discovery. For many nights debates raged in the chamber of Galgar deep beneath Herot about how to harness this power and make it grow.
The decision they came to is now known as [DTEK]. An ancient order of warrior priests devoted to cultivating this raw power. Every aspect of [DTEK] is strictly for the development of the spirits of [FWP]. That’s why the Ancient Castle has most the advanced inn and one of the largest libraries in all of Walmork.
Thats what I had. Perhaps sometime Ill finish it and post it somewhere. My next goal is to write a giant war with Sworn and FOG. Something Ive been talking about doing for months.

I liked your "summary", it leaves a clear picture of what has happened in the game as an in-game historical fact. Do go on, and others might follow.

Saga of an warrior`s unusual evening (Posted by: [#151527] Prince Dub Buk frå Nord the Titan [FoDm] (John Schaeffer), dat: 2007-01-07 02:46:00)
|
An unusual warrior`s evening
This day was different to the others, he could feel it when he went to bed early in the moring and even more as he woke up in the evening. The day before he had received a request to save the whole kingdom of Walmork! That had to be a special day, one he had worked many days for, trained himself, bought and built the best equipment he could find and afford, got killed sometimes in the process and was revived each day at midnight to continue his journey.
Soon he helped some Noblehouse a lot and some of their best joined his jorney. The man who gave those people to his command said they were the strongest he could offer. Well, not everything was to be believed by a true warrior. Those men were unfit, badly trained, unexperienced in combat and all just released from their farms as it seemed. So when about 300 of those men followed his command he started training them. First with his supreme abilities as a Titan, later as that did not help to train that "horde" he started using magic. Many bushes were searched for the herbs he needed to brew a potion that could improve the followers, so he collected, brewed, drank and went back to collect even more.
That all happened in the last days, before this day started.
In the evening, after he woke up, some men wanted to fight while others prefered the bar room.. no wonder when nearly 300 men follow a warrior`s command... But with great skill all were sworn to fight for their master. So he went to the Ruins of Galger and told the followers to stay back for he was about to start an ancient ritual to summon the spirit of his great great grand father or so.. he lived many generations before him but he would now help him save the world. After a long time the light was fading and the dust on the stones moved aside as the spirit came down to show itself to the warrior standing with arms stretched to the sky and the long black hair moving in the wind, he who was the son of a son of a son... of the spirits son.
The spirit of the old Troll-warrior now glided above the ground, shiny and supreme. The warrior asked the spirit to give him some powers other warriors could only dream of, powers that were strong enough to fight the strongest monster but no living warrior could hold those powers for longer time and the spirit told him he would only benefit very short time from that power. But the warrior knew, once he would enter the place he would meet the threat all feared, even those who watch from the sky, for both sides wanted to destroy the opponent. So he streched his hand forward, knelt down and the spirit Troll put his hand on the warrior`s head and spoke words in a language the warrior could not understand. But the result was something he could understand.. he felt a lot stronger and prayed to the gods the time would be long enough to carry out the mission before the strength would leave again.
But he was not happy with one blessing. He went into the Ancient Plains, he knew there lived the great grandfather of the Troll-spirit. So the same ritual started, just it took a lot more time. When that spirit came to him he could directly feel the evil as what his ancestor had lived in his days.. he could almost breath little frosty clouds. That ancestor gave him another power, one that would be very useful against the enemies he would marsh very soon.
Blessed by two mighty ancestors and with nearly 300 fearless men trained in battle he looked at the round. His little grey pet was slow but he did not want to walk. Earlier he received a potion that could teleport him, his pet and all fighters to the place he wanted (or needed..) to go. He opened the bottle, threw the cork in front of the pet (that had nothing better to do but eat it) and cheered to the round before and just as the last drip was out of the bottle a strong wind came in from the west and before the surronding could change all men were in the new location. After few steps they group stood face to face with the legion that had threatened the kingdom, the warriors and some even say the gods of Valhall themselves were threatened by that legion.
Now there he stood, nearly 300 men behind him and a grey pet at his side. Would that be his end, the world`s end or wha would happen... he could not tell. But with the powers he had received from his ancestors he felt strong enough to try, at least. First he was silent, drew his bow and released an arrow. Nothing could be worse to the enemy than an arrow flying like a line of pure death. It hit the shoulder of the first enemy and the killing began. With great war cries the legion stormed forward and they fought, long, very long. His grey pet did its best to weaken the enemies, the poison he put on the weapon did its best to slash through the lines of the legion, the fighters attacked te legion and defended their master (they were enough to do both at the same time..) but after many attacks the fight was over.
He could not believe it. All efford was too weak, there were still enemies standing. How could that happen? He did not know. But only few of his men died; they were put to death by weapons of fear and only Valhall could now take care of them. But also the slain enemies disappeared, it seemed they would return again and again, until even the last is killed in one battle. Fine, he thought, called his fighters to marsh on. They would meet the legion again and he hoped the powers he had temporary would not fade before that fight. After short time it was true, the legion stood there, again armed to the teeth (if they had teeth..) and that time there was no time to draw the bow, the enemiy saw him coming and started the attack. In the haste the warrior even forgot to put new poison on the weapon, but he felt strong enough to kill them all even if he had forgotten his sword...
The second battle was a sheer slaughter, this time his pet did a lot more than in the first battle, the fighters wanted to revenge their fallen friends and he.. forgot the poison. But the sword was good enough to kill them even without poison, that he knew after the first dozen enemies fell in short time. While killing he thought about what others had done before him, he heard that threat came back every now and then. Were those warriors strong enough to kill that legion? They must have been, the kingdom had not vanished.. With that new motivation they all fought bravely and killed the whole legion before their power was too low. As the last enemy reached the groud, it started shaking. He thought the ground would open and Hel would get him...but he already had killed her weeks ago. No, that was not Hel, it was someone else, even mightier. He thanked the warrior for saving the kingdom and the gods from that threat.
Happy he had done something worth of legends, Prince Dub Buk frå Nord walked off into the Mountains of the north to kill some (maybe even mightier..) enemies for the fun of fighting. Later, much later, he found his path down the mountains through the dark night of Walmork into the Dark Forest for he knew his home was waiting, the Fort Doom. Most men that fought the battle against the legion were now dead, fallen in battles Dub Buk fought for fun in the Mountains. He thought they would sure be rewared in Valhall for being members of his team while slaying the legion the whole kingdom feared. So even the loss of nearly 200 good men was nothing to make him disappointed that day. A day, uncommon as only few can be.

Burning wings,
feathers wissiling past me
in the roaring wind.
Yet its obvious, it comes to this
and flames consumes me.
--
I dream,
and morning hunts me down
i wake
and my senses fails,
how could i ever beleive
how did i ever forget?
and the flames consumes me.
--
You speak of future times
she of happy memories,
as fire race beneath my skin,
cant keep on no longer.
When fire consumes me.
--
Bitter smile, bitterness,
twists my face to old age,
what have you seen, i wonder?
as i feel blood trickeling down my chest
the question comes to me,
am i alone to feel this?
when the fire consume me
--
I fall apart
as i rise to my feet,
"better to die on your feets, then live your life kneeling"
And with all my force i cry out my challenge!, and almost drown in there silence.
The fire, The Flame which consume me.
--
A few tears, every year, as i leave one of maybe 3 things in life done, an emptied, the flames burns everything away, but me.
--
Burned to cinder, i rise again, "Im fallen, yet resurected, Im all of Nothing"...
You c, it ends here, an ended yesterday, with every breath i take, i become only my essence, no social konstruction, no idea, no hope,
and the flames slowly dies away as i leave with the howowling wind,
Yet to be borned again?
"Off" - dedicated to rumors off this game going down, as well as my life, but perhaps mostly to When Menion Leah dies, but rises again, called back to Life by hes promise to hes loved one.
This is the ending to story yet to be written, sort of, ending in Menion being burned alive by those who believe to be hes enemies.
And i burn in fire, as i pass into the abyss, what i brought back, i hide behind a sorrowfull smile,"as the abyss gazes back into you"
I hope this place exist in 2 years, and 20, if not, LIVE MOORE THEN U CAN IMAGINE, DREAM BEYOND COMPREHENSION, AND REMEMBER, NOTHING IS MOORE IMPORTENT!

Just today a fellow prince has tried to steal my gold. What kind of a world do we live in?! I am appalled and disgusted by these happenings. In all my years I have never been so insulted!
No longer can a prince`s greed be fulfilled simply by exploiting the peasants in his domain? What happened to the good old days of starving a man`s family in order to force him into near-slave labor! I dont know if I want to live in a world where I cant enjoy making hundreds of my own men work for 18 hours a day and live in a freezing mud holes while their children and wives are starved and dying of diseases I introduced into their village!
For this prince who is too soft to torture his own men, to stupid to enslave the men of lesser beings (Princesses, Grand Dukes, Dukes, Barons, heroes, Lords, Knights, Humans, elves, dwarves, trolls, Efraim, those Nancy girls in SWORN, and everyone else who is pretending to be able to read this), to ugly to marry a princess - steal her wealth - feed her to a pack of wolves, to slow to steal it from the king, for this prince I shall punish him!
I shall make his anus hang open like mouth of dog! He shall be someones girlfriend. For this prince I have knocked out and given to the Sun Guards. Now he is in jail for 286 long days of having his body harpooned on some filthy peasant!
While he is in jail, I shall march the armies of the Fallen Order into Fort Broom. There we will make his men dress in the dresses we have stolen from Sworn and go sing love songs to Chrille. Then we shall drink all the booze they have and piss in the casks before we leave! ______________________________________

(Author`s note: Please only read if you do not fear the dark. And if you start please read it all [yes, it takes time... also took me time to write it :)]... after all it is about the world of Warriors2, not "our world" ;))
This cold night Dub Buk went out into the Underworld seeking for some mystery. Prepared like for a crusade against a whole army he set foot into the Underworld. May the Gods protect him... if not... he would not want to think about that possibility now. The end could be unfortunate. But still a dizzy feeling stayed there, maybe the Gods knew more about what he would meet in the end or on the way..? There were sheer endless battles with various enemies that were there to keep mortals away from the place he was searching for. After many battles, more than he could say afterwards, he found the entrance to an Ancient maze. No mortal warrior would find it, so well hidden with magic and protected by the worst and ugliest of creatures. Maybe Dub Buk was the first one to set step in this maze for centuries.. at least little creatures, similar to spiders, had taken over that maze and it was a pain to rip all their nets apart to force the way through. Not only the battles aginst the things before the entrance were hard, making a way through the maze was at least a similar challenge though on a very different level. Not only the nets were ugly and tough, the maze was a tough one too...
`At least no ugly monsters here` he thought while taking another potion... Dub Buk might have seen a lot before and fought fearsome monsters, walked through difficult dungeons but nothing was as hard as that one. Someone must have done a good job in hiding whatever it was. The minutes passed without further success in finding the right way to the heart of the maze, soon hours would have passed without finding a way. Maybe the Gods protected him by doing that..? That possibity frightened him more than he would like. Maybe all that was put in its place to do exactly what it was doing, keep mortals and others away from the inner part of this?
He might not be a fool but forcing a way through sticky nets just to walk in circles made Dub Buk feel like one. He took a piece of his robe and made a long thread from it as he had heard in old legends. This way he would know when coming to a point he started... After many tries he found a path he did not notice before, what a luck! As he walked into the new passage a terrible smell hit his nose. Nearly mad and trying not to step backwards (he feared not to find that entrance again) he set a foot before the other very carefully avoiding unneeded exertions. The smell became even more intense by every step he took. `Maybe a horde of orcs would rot here` he thought.
Few steps before he would actually collapse and without doubt suffocate here sooner or later he took a break an d leaned at the wall. The effect was instant... little spider-like creatures starting waving their nets around him and weakened by the smell and what it caused in the mind of the warrior Dub Buk he had real problems getting those creatures off himself. Even more frightened he continued the way, his heart could surely be heard outside the maze he feared... but this was worse than anything he had experienced before or wanted again.
Before he realized it he found the (most possible) source of the terrible smell.. not a horde of rotting orcs, not a dead pig that lay too long in the sun, it was a sobbering half-dead creature he couldn`t possibly describe. Maybe a tripple sized Devil Dog, maybe a breed of Devil Dog and Turtle Dragon, all that would not describe it enough. The appearance of the intruder must have awakened the beast from centuries in chains and bound to death. With a grim and through and through evil roar the beast tried to stand up but it had a problem as it seems. In many battles Dub Buk had learned where to hit the enemy first to hit it really bad. Even in all the smell and general pain the mind took control and made him draw the bow and an arrow hit the stomach of the beast. The effect was unexpected.. the smell was nearly unbearable and the unconsiousness opened a wide door of blackness, standing open for Dub Buk to accept it.
But this time the welcome relieve of unconsiousness would surely end in death, that he knew. Taking the poison he still had in the belt even this beast would go down.. hopefully before him. The upcoming battle was ugly, a lot of blood was spread all over the place and the bones or whatever inside the monster were crushing, weakened from centuries in chains and maybe also from all the hits it recveived by his sword, he hoped. During the battle the beast rammed its smelling teeth once in the foot of Dub Buk, the pain exploded not only in the hit and hurt foot but went straight up and nearly overwhelmed his whole body. Next time this might be a deadly hit and so he decided not to attack the body but to concentrate on the head. Hitting teeth with a sword would surely hurt a lot and as such the beast became even wilder, trying to avoid the pain in the face. Surely thsi battle would not continue forever... one of htem would be dead at one point..
A well placed swing with the poisoned sword hit the inner part of the throat, now it would not take too long before this battle would be decided... but until then he would have to stay awake and of course alive. Another quick move and a two-handed swing of the sword, mixed with a huge portion of luck he hit the neck of the beast and a cracking noise was heard. First Dub Buk thought the battle was over as the sword was broken but even there the luck was on his side. The eyes (if those were eyes..) of the dog-like creature widened in that unexpected hit and slowly the head sank to the ground while the rest of its body was still standing there. Only after a push with te sword the body fall down, maybe only the head realized it ws dead now..
After that difficult task he might have proven worth of taking the next step. But that was just the beginning, yet again. First some battles, then a maze followed by a terrible smell and a hard battle the maze continued now. `Was it worth` he thought while drinking a potion to heal his wounds. But whatever was hidden here, it had already cost a lot effort to come so far so going back all way would possibly be no option..yet.
The following part of the maze was pretty clean, at least compared to the first part with all the spider-like things that infected it. It looked a lot older actually, built in an ancient way long forgotten by most stonemasons. Though no monsters were found here and it looked nearly nice the feeling of something... wrong, evil was growing inside Dub Buk nearly with every step he walked further. This impression grew to an intense feeling, nearly fear, and was confirmed as he found a tome on a well carved table. It was nearly as fine as those altars he found in the deepest mazes beneath the mountains in the north, maybe it was even greater but now it was old and surprisingly not covered with a pile of dust and dirt but very clean.
Taking a look on the tome Dub Buk fell to his knees... "To Thy Dark Prophecies", the legendary tome no living or dead should ever see. The Gods had good reason to ban this tome from the kingdom of mortals. Feeling his presence the tome opened and started tunring the pages in one and the other direction. Falling in fear Dub Buk wanted to leave but it was impossible, the harder he tried to escape the worse it became. "The Kingdom is Thy, May Thy stregth rule the unworthy into death and those who deserve into eternal service. Thee have returned, Thee will be praised, Thee will rise again to old glory for Thee are the Lord to rule this world. Once trapped and locked in chains, bound for centuries. Those were years of light on the world, for Thee shall return to power centuries of Thy darkness shall come over this land. One wanderer has survived this, he now stands here waiting for Thy appearance to receive Thy blessing. May he go out to the world and spread the word of ThY return, may all mortals live in fear, fearing the day when the last sigil of Thy Sanctuary is broken for Thy to be released again. This time, no mercy would be granted. This time Thy power would be supreme, leaving no room for anything else. Thy powers shall not be questioned again, for only one survivor of the Dark Path shall be granted the wisdom of Thee for he is the only only worthy the truth of the Dark Prophecy. May Thy powers bring the neverending wars between Thee and the Gods to the world of man and may Thee consume those who populate that realm of existance. All praises to Thee, Lord." A quick bolt came from the other end of the wall hitting Dub Buk in the head. He expected to die now and the pain in his head would surely be similar.
Finding his own body again and getting cointrol of it he started screaming in pain, both of all the pain he received on the way here, by the bolt that hit him and also by what the Dark Prophecy has foretold. Before he wanted the darkness around him became overwhelming and this time he wanted it. No more pain, no more thoughts, no more fear, who in that situation would decline that offer of the unconciousness for one moment in time... As he awoke the sun was already up high. It took him a while to realize there could be no sun in the maze, there is never sun... He looked around and slowly the memories returned and with them the pain. He found himself in the bed in Fort Doom, the head quartier of the clan he was leader of. Maybe this was all a terrible dream? Then the old wounds in his body would be too fresh, yet he could not imagine he saw the tome noone must ever see. But the memory was so clear... how could that have been a dream?
The morning was already over, most warriors had left to fight and learn to train their skills. Would all that be soon over and would he, Dub Buk, be part of a plan carried out by the most evil Lord ever? He touched he forehead and felt a fresh wound, one similar to those left by bolts... From now on he would praise the Gods even more to save himself and the world he and all others knew from the return of the one who must never return.

I just wanted you to know that I liked reading it. Too often I write a story here and wonder if anyones even read it at all.
Keep it up!
